Initially you can send a copy of the documents to be examined by email to sdds@aapt.net.au along with a copy of the facts in the matter.  A quote (or estimation of costs) can then be prepared setting out what further documents may be required, the likely examinations to be conducted, and the time frame required to prepare an expert report suitable for legal proceedings.

In a questioned signature case, it is recommended that a minimum of 10-15 contemporaneous specimen signatures are supplied which have been written in the normal course of business. Every effort should be made to have the original questioned document(s) in particular examined in this laboratory which has the appropriate equipment to perform any necessary forensic testing (all non destructive).

Instructions are routinely accepted from members of the legal profession, law enforcement and other similar agencies.  Enquiries and instructions should come directly through your solicitor.

Note: Due to a number of practical, ethical and compliance reasons, instructions cannot be accepted from private individuals and/or self represented litigants; and matters involving Family Genealogy, Historical Documents, Sports Memorabilia or similar.  Providing preliminary/verbal opinions or short reports are not recommended and rarely accommodated.
